Polish seaside calls to mind wide, sandy beaches, chip shops, tasty waffles and moody weather. It can’t be compared to Sri Lanka or Maldives but it has to offer something that you will not find in any other place- fresh air full of iodine and amazing atmosphere!

Tourists who look for nice and not crowded beaches should go to west-coast – from Swinoujscie to Pogorzelica. A region near Łeba and Słowiński National Park is attractive and fascinating. The cleanest and at least crowded beaches are in Hel Peninsula which along with The Vistula Spit is one of the most amazing peninsulas in the world.

If you love sailing you should go on the north coast. Hel and the area of the Bay of Gdańsk have excellent infrastructure and great weather for water sports. You will be able to see Jastarnia where in 1929 polish sailor Mariusz Zaruski with a group of scouts began ‘the great propaganda’. Through his teaching he attracted countless number of Polish youth to seamanship and yachting.

Leba, Mielno, Darlowo and Wladyslawowo are ideal for those who look for vivid nightlife. There are lots of clubs, pubs, restaurants and play centres. Families with children should go to places like Niechorze, Rewal, Rowy and Mrzezyno. There are plenty things to do for kids and it is not as busy as the other places.

You can have a trip along the polish coast- great way to see the most interesting and gorgeous places on the seaside. Golden beaches on Hel Peninsula, the longest pier and the exhibition of wax figures in Sopot, Walk of Fame in Miedzyzdroje ,the most protruded city in Poland – Jastrzebia Gora, moving sand dunes near Leba in a biosphere reserve and a extraordinary lighthouse built in 1886 year in Kolobrzeg.

Every year polish beaches are getting more and more beautiful. All the money and work spent to improve and maintain the beaches has paid off- you can see the improvements. Before you choose some remote, exotic countries, why not giving the polish seaside a try and see the Baltic Sea. Discover a whole new destination that is near you.
